Course
Syllabus and Medium of Instruction:
Our course material will be based on the syllabus of
JEE, AIEEE & BITSAT 2007. We do not envisage any
significant change in the syllabus for 2007; should
there be any, however, our material will include
those changes.
The course material is in the English medium and
only students who can follow English should apply
for enrolment.
Course Highlights:
This course covers the subject from fundamentals,
drills students with relevant tests, evaluates them,
guides them with home-based Mock Test Papers with
solutions and raises morale through a doubt -letter
Scheme.
Dispatch of course material will begin in July 15,
2007 or soon after enrolment, whichever is later.
Material is normally sent by Parcel Post or private
Courier Services. Students who enroll late will get
the material at shorter intervals.
Course Structure
The course will be dispatched in the form Sets and
it is structured in four modules.
PRIMER.
PROGRESS.
PROFICIENCY.
PROWESS.
Primer comprises of concept review books. The
concept notes will be sufficiently elaborate with
point wise explanation of the topics and a number of
worked out examples. Each lesson will be followed by
practice units containing objective questions.
The student should study the theory well,
systematically work the practice units and should
then compare his/her working with the fully
worked-out solutions Total number of primer books 15
(5-Physics, 5-Chemistry, 5-Maths).Working sheets of
practice units should NOT be sent to us.
A word of caution:
It is observed that most of the students tend to
ignore the importance of studying the regular
textbooks prescribed for 11th and 12th classes. We
strongly suggest that the first step in the
preparation for IITJEE,AIEEE&BITSAT is to have a
good grasp of all the subject matter that is there
for the 11th and 12th class exams. A student cannot
think of reaching out to higher level of learning
the subject and comprehend the intricacies of the
tricky questions without an in-depth study of the
regular TEXT BOOKS. Subject-matter discussed in the
textbooks gives the broad theoretical frame-work
that is needed for the competitive exams. The
‘concept- review-lesson’ that is provided for
every topic in our books will only further your
understanding of the subject and it may give a
different perspective or facilitate you to get a
proper perspective of the subject. Though the
‘concept- review-lessons’ are quite exhaustive
and include all the finer points required for a
competitive exam, students are cautioned not to
treat it as substitute for a textbook. Concept
lessons in our books can only supplement textbooks
and compliment your preparation.
Progress -
In this module, tests are designed for every
unit specified in IITJEE,AIEEE&BITSAT syllabus
These tests will test all the different questions
solved in the respective units and is an exercise to
help the student gain confidence in that unit - and
more importantly to gain insight on how to solve
problems in that topic in the shortest possible
time. Total number of tests: 45.Each test paper is
of 60 questions with complete explanatory solutions.
Proficiency -
In this module, a proficiency test is conducted for
every five units to serve as a reminder to revise
and revisit units. There is the tendency to forget
what was learned in the first unit as one approaches
the fourth unit. These tests have proved to be
highly effective in helping students not to forget
what they had learned a month or two earlier. And
the second objective of these tests is to help
student master each of these topics by extensive and
periodic practice. Total number of tests: 15 each
test paper is of 60 questions with complete
explanatory solutions
Prowess -
This module comprises full
lengthIITJEE,AIEEE&BITSAT Comprehensive Tests
and will be administered from April onwards. Tests
are analyzed in depth, most often question by
question, with focus on how to select questions in a
smart manner and the techniques that need to be
employed to solve these questions in the shortest
possible time. By the time our students appear for
IITJEE,AIEEE&BITSAT, they would have taken n 10
to12 full-length tests. Each test paper is of 180
questions with complete explanatory solutions.
Students should self-administer the Tests strictly
under examination conditions and finish each paper
in one sitting within the specified time limit
without referring to the study materials.
These tests will give the student the cumulative
experience of having sat through twenty Entrance
Tests before appearing for the actual Entrance Tests
in 2008.
To
know your performance status of every full-length
test, national average, top scores will be sent to
you. (These tests are common for online. classroom,
test series and correspondence students) |
